Pvper tend to destroy their own games because they tend to be selfish, ego driven ass hats who dont care about anything beyond ruining others fun. Pve and pvp in UO (and pretty much every other game) is/was separated because pvpers ruin everyone else time in game without thought to anyone or anything but their own ♥♥♥♥ stroking. They harass, gank and generally make anyone but the most hardcore's players life unplayable in game. They did that because, like with every single pvp game, pvper ruin their own game. LoU devs have stated and its on the website that they will never add a trammel or similar pve only world that competes with the normal one. from the beginning of uo until then it was a great game and then they took away all the freedom that existed in the game and made it into a kiddie theme park. i watched it happen and then finally quit also. that split the population and resulted in all the veteran players and those who want to do more than pve leave the game. they made a seperate world that was pve only.

I wanted to let LoA players know about this in case you want to play there as the more players we have the better. Also, the fact that the devs love UO and want to make a game like this as much as the players do so i have no doubt that the server will be open far into the future and wont be shutdown for any reason. At first I was concerned about the server shutting down at some point in the future but after spending time in the discord chennel and reading about all the development there and on the website i can see that its very unlikely that the server will ever shut down as long as there are people like myself pledging on patreon. I posted this to make people aware that it exists and how nice the server is, as well as the fact that its constantly being improved with big plans ahead. It's really worth your time if youre interested. Theyre also usually always in the discord channel and you can chat with them. The dev team is great and is actively continuing development at all times. There are big plans for the server and improvements and work are coming along nicely. Anyway, there are usually 1000 or so people in the discord channel and playing the game so plenty of interested and active players. For people who dont know, there is a server called LoU that is a remake of Ultima Online but without the thing that ruined it, 'Trammel'.
